Alongside Varg and Abdullah Rashim, Acroynm is up there with Northern Electronics’ most exciting artists. Nautilus is his second release for the label after the mysterious artist provided NE with their second. It’s five tracks long and there’s no filler here, and the title track gets the EP off to a rolling, Amazonian start. “Set Sail” on the other hand is far more industrial, while “Nemo” is linear, deep and dubby techno. Over on the B-side “Hunt” can be likened to an Ancient Methods production while there’s subtle yet stinging Mike Parker caustics in the EP’s final assault “Surfacing”. As always, more buy on sight material for the unstoppable Northern Electronics.
