Here comes a special delivery. ‘Par Avion’ is a piece of vintage-gear based dancefloor vibes collected via airmail. One piece coming from UK, another from down-under Australia and one eastern calling – a track from S1’s country of origin aka Poland. Warning! – the package contains dangerous items: air-cutting synths, dirty samples, heavy stomps. First one delivered by Manchester’s VHS charmer Ste Spandex, followed by tracks from Benny Badge, also known as the Melbourne’s boogietronic high-flyer FREEKWENCY and young house flames Matat Professionals – Marfa & Selvy from Poznań.
We let them guys drop us few words on their shipments. Check out their postcards below:

’Questions’ are a product of unusual circumstances. For me this particular question arose during an uninterrupted lock-in at Voyeurhythm comrade Tyson Ballard’s home studio. Faced with some of the most desirable recording equipment known to man, my trademark OCD of hardware programming did me no favours in these unknown surroundings of infinite possibility. However the result was ‘Questions’, a contemplative 808 thumper using an array of vintage gear heavy in synthosleaze quality. Tastefully redubbed on Ruf Dug’s analogue rig just for the occasion, FREEKY is happy and more than at home on S1 Warsaw’s latest outgoing.

Matat Professionals wouldn’t ever happen without hundreds of hours of bitchin’ about lack of money for vinyls, hardware and rent. Cooperation between an Opole runaway and a Poznań born-and-raised delivers fusion of overcompressed, rough sound with a classic approach to house music. Samples can be dirty but the hands stay clean, so we treat digging just as seriously as our mutual debt collection. Even though the process of making our vinyl debut for S1 Warsaw, took less than it takes to travel from Poznań to Warsaw, it was enough to consume an amount of cold drinks and cigarettes of a regular weekender.
