Logik Lee is one of the founders of the AK Beatz studio, and here he shows his production skills by delivering a fine pair of re-edits for the new Burnout imprint. Both tracks are effortlessly soulful, with lead cut “Wrapped Up In Your Love” delivering a deliciously string-drenched and pleasingly sweet chunk of organic ’70s soul, tweaked and extended for maximum dancefloor enjoyment. There’s a similarly loose and musical feel about virtual flipside “All There Is”, where a familiar female vocalist rides a shuffling groove full of twinkling piano keys, simmering strings and low-slung, jazz-influenced soul breaks. Given the dominance of needlessly quantized, housed-up edits, Burn Out Edits is a breath of fresh air.
