Pig&Dan are happy to welcome Dutch sensation SQL to ELEVATE with his OBSTACLES Ep.
Renowned for his uplifting and melodic brand of techno, the young producer from Amsterdam has seen his music signed and a released by the likes of Funk D’Void (Outpost), Ramon Tapia (Say What?) and Secret Cinema (Gem). With the ELEVATE bosses already huge fans, the excitement is almost palpable for the release of Obstacles.
The title track is an atmospheric spine-tingler, with its percolating beats and escalating orchestral synth. Blunt Instrument more than lives up to its name, with its guttural throbbing bassline and pounding kickdrum. A straight up dancefloor weapon. The third and final original sees SQL matching warm but strong beats and bass with a chiming and charming xylophone melody.
This tantilising trio are backed by a titanic remix from chart topper Enrico Sangiuliano and Secret Cinema. The pair join forces on Obstacles, reworking the original into a summer festival anthem.
