Having featured his ‘We Long To Move The Stars To Pity’ track on Dubfire’s ‘A Transmission’ Mix back in 2012, San Francisco’s Butane makes a much-welcomed return to SCI+TEC with his ‘Freak EP’. The Little Helpers & Alphahouse boss has been delivering his creatively subtle yet potent grooves for over a decade, releasing his wares with the likes of Crosstown Rebels, Moan, Inmotion and more. The relentless purring bass groove of the title track opens the EP, powered by Butane’s throbbing, earthy drums. On the flip, ‘Buzzkill’ is anything but.
