Kicking of f 2018 for Wolf Trap is the third installment from U.S Techno don Stefan Weise.

2017 was a very busy year for Stefan having several releases on Berlin imprint Lucidflow, starting his own label 3KM and continuing with his decade old Proton radio show Blue Industries.

Stefan’s releases have seen continued support from industry heavyweights such as Ben Sims, Ian Pooley, Danny Tenaglia, Jonas Kopp and Lauren Garnier to name but a few.

This 3 tracker kicks off with Spiral Arm Calling. The trademark dubby percussive synths that ramble on throughout this track have become synonymous with Stefan’s instantly recognizable sound. These constantly evolving organic textures bring the track to life and keep it rolling on while the punchy rhythm section does exactly what it should.

The Shadows We Cast is a slightly more laid back affair. Deep synth stabs march along to lush evolving melodic pad lines that contrast the crisp drum production beautifully.

In total contrast to the first two offerings Canton St. 4am’s minimalistic Techno percs and ambient building synths finish off what is an all round excellent EP.
