Stepping up for his debut EP on Berlin based Techno and Electronica label Off Recordings, Belgium based Tom Hades provides an EP primed for the record bags of the biggest Techno DJ’s around the world. ‘Stability’ mark’s his first full EP of 2018 in impressive style.
Off Recordings has played host to some of the most renowned names in Techno, House, Electronica and everything in between. Founded by Andrew Crom in 2008, Crom has guided the label to over 90 releases featuring artists such as DJ W!ld, Mat.Joe, Darius Syrossian and Jay Lumen. He now welcomes Tom Hades into the coveted Off Recordings Family.
Opening the EP in impressive style is the title track ‘Stability’. Setting the tone with a signature 808 drum-pad groove and building into a crescendo of industrial synth stabs, all combined with a powerful low-end bass. Following the opener is ‘Shapes’ with 7 Minutes of peak time madness. ‘Shapes’ is completely dripping in acid tones covered with a driving bass line and accompanied by a melodic synth.
‘Balance’ brings the EP down to a slower pace as we hear Hades build upon the melodic synth vibes we hear in ‘Shapes’, this time using them to dramatic effect amongst an array of hi-hats and drum sequencers. ‘Core’ brings the EP to a close in emphatic style, delivering a thunderous demonstration of his abilities, stitched together with hi-hats and low pass drops.
‘Stability’ EP is another example of Tom Hades prowess within the specialist Techno world and further solidifies his expert use of straightforward basslines and eternal melodies.
