Rekindling their prolific and productive partnership, Poker Flat Recordings label boss Steve Bug teams up with Clemens Kahlcke aka Cle for another important release. The pair go way back, having being friends, DJ colleagues, co producers and label mates for over 20 years.

Their latest release on Poker Flat, shows they have continued to bring out the best in each other. ‘It’s Time’, the title track, kicks off in fine style – a solid, urgent groove sets the tone, before sharp claps, a thick bass pulse and classic house stabs add the flavour. The pair clearly know how to work a floor.

Dutch friend and collaborator Edwin Oosterwal brings his own take for the dub version – adding layers of slick percussion and developing the synth melodies into an urgent, upfront proposition.The influence of classic Detroit techno is clear to see.

Last but not least, the guys pull another rabbit out of the hat with the final track ‘Ritual’ – their signature infectious rhythms combine a slowly evolving melodic motif which builds and builds in to a true dance floor heater.
