Israel’s finest Stephan Bazbaz and Sean Doron construct a club ready two-parter, delivering their mystical touch to Rebellion this July. With their origins rooted firmly in the rave scene, the Jasmino EP showcases the pair’s adept understanding for what works on the dance floor.
The EP opens with the ominous groove of Jasmino. Its seductive strings echo across the bass as they give way to the high-hats, leaving dancefloors captivated. Sean Doron explains it “was created during an analog only jamming session at our studio and inspired by the city, the people and the beaches of Tel Aviv. ‘Jasmino’ is one of our favorite tracks as it creates magical vibes for special moments, sunrises and sunsets”. On Alisa the duo dip their toes into the seedier side, exploring the use of a sleezier, bouncier baseline.
Stephan Bazbaz holds residencies at some of Tel Aviv’s most esteemed clubs- The Breakfast Club, The Block and Cat & Dog. He’s the curator of outdoor party E-Boded, an event that has been widely regarded as reshaping the clubbing scene in the city as well as launching his own imprint, No Waves, in 2016. Sean Doron’s career spans a decade, beginning with a residency at Cat & Dog. From then he’s gone on to create Monochrome, another event credited with turning the scene in Tel Aviv on its head. Doron’s music has been supported by some of the industry’s most prominent producers including; Damian Lazarus, Marco Carola, Archie Hamilton, Apollonia and more. As a duo, they’re sure to set the scene alight.
