Unrilis founded by Rino Cerrone is an Italian label based in Naples, which has become one of Europe’s most prolific techno cites being home to the likes of Luigi Madonna, Joseph Capriati and Enrico Sangiuliano, who have all featured their music on this highly respected imprint.
Markantonio is a long-time friend of Rino Cerrone, and one of the people who helped put Naples on the map of electronic music, having pioneered techno in the city and Italy on a whole. During his extensive career now spanning twenty years, he has featured tracks on many labels ranging from Adam Beyer’s Drumcode to Pan-Pot’s Second State.
Much of Markantonio’s musical output is released via his own AnalyricTrail, but Unrilis is one of the other techno labels he works closely with, and he is back on the imprint with yet another quality release of slamming techno.
Alongside the two originals there is also a remix from BEC, who continues to impress as one of the most talented young techno producers out there at the moment. Having originally made a name for herself on Pan-Pot’s Second State her music can also be heard on Carl Cox’s Intec amongst others.
BEC has worked with Markantonio recently, putting out an EP on AnalyricTrail, and her remix on these dark and pounding peak time tracks further solidifies the friendship of these two accomplished artists.
