“Repetition” is taken from Max Cooper’s fourth artist album, Yearning For The Infinite, which is due for release in November. It further underlines his reputation as an unconventional electronic music producer; this is in part due to the fact that the entire album originated as a commission from the Barbican, but also due to the music itself. “Repetition” is a frazzled, droning slice of electronica, like vintage Nathan Fake set on a collision course with Alessandro Cortini, as vaguely euphoric textures unravel over a hypnotic pulse.
