Like many during the pandemic, I used the time that the clubs were closed to focus on studio efforts. At home in Nosara, Costa Rica, “Take Me Away” was born of a search for the perfect soundtrack for driving down a muddy jungle road on a rainy night. Dark, boggy, a little intense and uncertain. A few months later, this weird, quirky, dark and emotional little ball of love of a cat showed up on my porch while I was working on music, and she looked like a Beatrix, so the name stuck to her, and also the song.//
