Serbia’s Filip Xavi takes over the second release of 2023 on MindTrip. The DJ & producer
from Belgrade released his first track on our label a year ago as part of the fourth edition of Mutable
Minds series. Now he is back and ready for his debut solo work.
‘Imminence EP’ consists of four deep, hypnotic yet powerful cuts representing the sound of MindTrip. The release opens with ‘Red Alert’ and its distorted sounds, filtered sequences, and a sharp modular line mutating across time and space. ‘Metal to Metal’ take us to a darker and more abstract place with its subtler underlying layers. ‘Anti Air’ is a focused tool rich in depth and warmth, making it the archetypal Techno trip as it pushes forward with its fast-beating pacing. ‘While we drift apart’ sets the end to this musical journey and presents a slow-paced composition filled with dream-like drones & evoking landscapes.
