Kiko Navarro enlists the help of his 13 year old son Hugo for classical-tinged Deep House gem Una Mattina (A Morning), issued on his own Afroterraneo label.
A cover version of Ludovico Einaudis 2004 solo piano piece, Una Mattina found its way to Kikos ears as his son Hugo practised for a performance of the work at his school Christmas show. The pair entered the studio and Hugo laid down that iconic piano part in his first ever recording session, before Kiko worked his magic with a supple drum groove, warm strings and vocal pads inspired by 10ccs Im Not In Love.
Thinking about who could remix such an special project, Kiko asked one of his long time deep house heroes Andre Lodemann, who has remixed artists such as Black Coffee, Dave Lee, Jimpster and released his own music works on Innervisions, Freerange, Compost and Best Works.
