Hugo Rolan signs his third album, this time on Legend 1997 Records, label owned by David Reina. Debut album was on the acclaimed Warm Up Recordings, second one on the legendary Axis Records. Now it’s turn for “Replica Hipnotica”, the longest to date with 13 cuts of intelligent Techno and Ambient soundscapes. “Replica Hipnotica” is a mental journey, a musical and sound exercise divided into 13 acts where you can explore different hypnotic landscapes. The album begins with “Inestabilidad Dinamica” an introduction that prepares us for this futuristic experience and amazing space travel, hypnotic sound, continuous adorned with interference and human voices. “Universo Observable” a deep techno cut, reflective sounds accompanied by 909 percussions that replicate the rhythm of the track until the end. “Funcion Reversible” and “Territorialidad Neutra” are the next stops on the album, direct and detailed techno that shows us how sounds can communicate with each other, accompanied by sonar sounds, keys and percussion. “Campo Gravitatorio” the serious and rhythmic sound of this cut is altered by its sharp cut that revolves around it to end up being the protagonist. “Planeta Extrasolar” a clean track, rhythmic techno that gives us a feeling of travel, of reaching an unexplored place, once again the hypnotic percussions serve as a vehicle towards the tranquility of… “Periodo Orbital” cut with deep and distant sounds that make the perfect atmosphere together 909 drums. “Capacidad Imposible” unpredictable cut, with hypnotic frequencies that take us from one side of the track to the other, marked percussion that develops the sounds and accompanies them, surrounds them into minimalism. “Continuidad Distante” creates the perfect atmosphere for us to face the end of the album, repetitive sound and percussion come together and mark the time, giving continuity to the journey. “Hipotesis Variable” and “Solidez Ambiental” make us enter the most techno part of the album, two cuts oriented to the dance floor, strong rhythms, dark, strident sounds, pure intensity where we reach the climax of the trip. “Estructura Artificial” is the farewell to the trip, a track that may seem slow, the sounds drag, they wrap each other. The percussions, keys, and sonar sounds encourage us to discover what the end is. “Control Subteorico” says goodbye to the trip by going back to the beginning, the sounds are transformed into a “Replica Hipnotica” of all the above, they summarize the album and close it, waiting for a new trip…
