Emerging Brazilian tastemaker Pedroz takes no prisoners with The Whistle EP, delivering a blistering pair of club weapons via Black Book Records. The merciless two-tracker includes The Whistle and My Team, featuring Thi Calista, and boasts the kind of bravado that not only makes for infectious energy on the dance floor, but marks a step forward in Pedroz own evolution as a producer. Pedroz melds together notes of tech house, minimal tech, and just enough hip hop sensibility to lend his production its signature bite. Nodding to the rich cultural influences of his São Paulo roots, Pedroz leverages characteristic Brazilian grooves as the foundation for the records, blending personal history with the pulsating rhythms of his hometown in a way that feels both authentic and exhilarating. Featuring ruthless drumwork and a commanding vocal, The Whistle is a bonafide bomb whose high-octane dose of adrenaline hammers at all costs. The rolling groove on My Team is no exception, further showcasing Pedrozs trademark ear for sample choices, and packing palpable punches. With a career already spanning four years, Pedroz quickly established himself as a mainstay within the house community in Brazil and beyond. Past plays include GAIA, Starlight Fest, D-EDGE, and Tantra in Ibiza, as well as previous releases on Hellbent Records, Repopulate Mars, Club Sweat, and 2NIGHT Recordings. Having graduated from Black Book IDs: Chapter 8 in 2024, The Whistle EP is the Brazilian beatmakers first official single as part of the Black Book family, and asserts the young talent as one to earmark if you havent already.
