Andrewboy Artist Bio

He first got involved with the basics of the Dj profession at the age of 14. His mentors were the greatest Djs in Hungary in those times, and they were the ones who supported the steady start of his career. All at once, what most youngsters dare only dream of, became reality to him, and Andrew immediately found himself behind the turntables.

His precise mixing and his exceptional skills in scratching became the trade-mark of his unique style, gaining the attention of many in the profession. In the beginning of the 90’s he participated in a DJ competition, and even being the youngest of all competitors, he came in first place, which resulted in the quick advancement of his career. He became one of the most wanted and most active disc jockeys all around the country in no time. He’s worked in nearly 20 clubs as resident dj, appearing in numerous Hungarian and foreign events at the same time.

In 2000 he entered two competitions, one of the most dignified DJ competitions in the world, DMC, where he achieved second place, and the Pepsi talent competition in two categories – own production and dj mix. Finishing first place in the latter from among 600 competitors.

In 2001 he played on the Budapest Parade on a truck he organized himself, appearing in front of thousands of people during the entire day. He has appeared together with such great DJs from all over the world as John Digweed, Lee Burridge, Steve Lawler, Paul Oakenfold, The Flash Brothers, Chris Gainer, Marcus James, Paul Rodgers, Peace Division, Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren, Satoshi Tomiie, Anthony Pappa, Chriss Scott, Sultan, Tarkan, Chris Fortier, just to mention the greatest.
