Anton Tumas Artist Bio

Singularity of musical vision…focused like a laser beam

Titles such as self-described perfectionist or obsessive-compulsive may begin to give the listener an introduction to the commitment, yet it’ll be heartfelt melodies that truly sweep one away. Anton’s driving force has always been a deep interest in soundscapes, and their interaction with the human mind. The ability to paint a picture with rhythmic vibrations that somehow transport the unsuspecting listener to realms unseen, making them completely forget who they are in that moment.

Skipping past the usual culling of boring facts that make up most biographies, and fast forwarding past childhood filled with everything from Michael Jackson, Duran Duran to Depeche Mode, you find yourself on vast plains of California’s Mojave Desert. As icy wind gently tickles your skin, you can feel yourself bathing in sun rays and allow the deep bass resonate the core of your being. Second home for many, the desert has a deep teaching to give. All pretenses are promptly dropped, and nothing but the most genuine music will do.

Having been schooled by many such nights and long sunrises, Anton has become somewhat of a legend around these parts. With deeply spiritual journey sets, bordering on mysticism, it didn’t take long to see that something special was happening here. A regular in the line-ups of best underground parties Los Angeles has to offer. Having shared his magic at Moontribe full-moon gatherings, legendary Green Sector parties and all the way to the dance floors of places like Vanguard and Avalon, Anton’s music creates an intimate atmosphere wherever he goes.

A new label project in the name of subtract music, is gathering some momentum all on it’s own. Using the label as an extension of his vision and a vessel for channeling the best in underground music. To allow the artists to fully express their creativity, without any concern for boring metrics such as record sales and radio plays. At a time when most seem to have forgotten, it’s more than ever to remember…that music is emotion! Read more on Last.fm.
