Craig

Craig Artist Bio

There are multiple artists named Craig:

1) Craig (sometimes credited as The Craig) was a short-lived British band from the mid-1960s, based in Birmingham, United Kingdom. Originally established as The King Bees, they changed their name when they signed with Larry Page, the legendary manager of The Kinks and others. The band’s drummer was Carl Palmer, later of prog-rock superstars, Emerson, Lake & Palmer. The other members were lead vocalist Jeff Brown, Richard King, guitar, and Len Cox, bass.

Both of their original 1966 singles for Fontana were credited to Craig, which must therefore be regarded as the preferred spelling of the band name. A later international pressing of their best known track ‘I Must Be Mad’ on the Hansa label, however, was credited to The Craig.

2) Craig was a band from 1999-2001 from Long Island, NY that was part of the LIHC scene during those years as well as playing in the emo/post hardcore/metalcore scene popular at the time.

They were known for their intensity live and played shows during those years including a tour with Between the Buried & Me and Hellfest in 2001 but broke up shortly after. Read more on Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
