Dansor Artist Bio

Over the years DANSOR’s style emerged into an eclectic mix of techhouse, minimal, progressive, electro, techno and breaks – a broad array of genres with an accent on fat basses, funky beats and twisted sounds.

After moving to the Netherlands in 1997, she regularly played with artists such as Danny Howells, Alison Marks, Per, Anthony Pappa, Remy, Estroe, 100% Isis, Luciën Foort, Harry Lemon8 to name a few.

Contestant in the Dutch TV show ‘De Vreemde Eend’, finalist in the TWSTd DJ-contest in Paradiso (2004), participant of the Red Bull Music Taster (2006) as well as the Rooms Of Red Bull (2009), guest at the First International Conference on Digital Live Art in London (2006), performer with her live sensory project at Women In Paradise besides famous Dutch musicians like Saskia Laroo and Ellen ten Damme or as a DJ at SZIGET, the biggest festival in Hungary, party organizer of Budapest Delight (with a fellow Hungarian DJ Szilvia Harsz) and Womenwaves (to show the talents of other female artists),she always finds a way to express her unique musical choices and surprise her public with it.

Her productions are drawing the attention of the biggest names in the dance scene: her first remix ‘Christine’ was chosen as best demo at the Amsterdam Dance Event by a panel of industry professionals including Dave Clarke, Arthur Baker, Dr. Kucho and Mark Bona.

Her first single ‘Another Life’ has won Pete Tong’s Bedroom Bedlam competition in 2009 and was signed by Carica Records.

From a collaboration with Medway ( Hooj Choons, GU, Baroque, etc.) ‘Belief’ and ‘Impulso’ were released on the London based Sensei Recordings. ‘Impulso’ got a 5 star review in DJ Mag (!) and reached nr 44 position on Beatport’s Indie Dance/Nu Disco chart.

As a result of their musical chemistry they were asked to remix ‘KC Flightt vs. Funky Junction – Voices’ for Hooj Choons. Their newest single ‘Bueno’ was released later on the Canadian ‘Whose Haus?’ that was heavily supported by Hernan Cattaneo, Darin Epsilon and more. It was included in Nick Warren’s 2009 Xmas mix as well.

Expect to hear more about DANSOR in 2010:
Her newest single ‘Hassen und Streiten’ is signed by Sander Kleinenberg’s Little Mountain Recordings and will be part of their newest compilation Little Mountain Rocks Volume 2. Other appearances expected on labels as Carica (RU), Soma (based in Sanghai, China), We Are Live (UK), and Lovin L’ectro (NL).

Besides her own productions, she’s also busy with setting up COMPORT Records – together with some like minded people and other talented artists.

One of DANSOR’s main goals is to bridge the gap between Eastern and Western Europe by stimulating cultural collaboration.
