2. DANYA is a high energy, Christian rock band, combining powerful music with passionate worship and bold faith. The songs are real and intense, with a message to wake up the mediocre and live a life that is more than ordinary. It is not just music. This is a call to arms.

DANYA came together in May 2010, with a passion to start a fire in the hearts of a dying generation. Calling out those who are accepting mediocrity and showing people they were made to be more than ordinary, DANYA’s songs come from the stage as a bold challenge and a heartfelt invitation.

In 2011, Matt Morris, Asa Wiggins, and Danya Powell created a sound that encompasses a movement, the sound of an awakening. Releasing their EP “The Fire” in June 2011, the band broke onto the scene with a new energy. With driving rock songs like “Take The World”, “The Fire”, and “Adrenaline” the band reveals their mission to be the difference, take the world by storm, and never back down. “Dream Tonight”, a pop/rock side of DANYA, states “we’ll redefine the dreams that we dream tonight;” and the power ballad “Slave” reveals where the band’s heart is founded, being rescued and redeemed by Jesus Christ.

DANYA combines powerful music with passionate faith. The group is now managed by KOTW Entertainment, and they are turning heads at clubs, festivals, and events around the country. The group has played on stages with artists including Unhindered, Icon For Hire, Hearts Of Saints, Me In Motion, Kronicles, Decyfer Down, and Denver and The Mile High Orchestra. They placed second in the nationwide Ichthus Christian Music Festival’s Battle of the Bands, and have led worship at various conferences including camps with Lifeway Christian Resources.
