Deepdoon Artist Bio

Music producer and DJ Scott Haggarty, known as Deepdoon was born in Glasgow and grew up in the Gorbals area of the city. Scott now lives in the Scottish Borders, where he finds peace and continues his to work various studio productions.

Growing up in Glasgow his main influences came from the now infamous Sub Club in Glasgow. At that time, this was where you could hear the sounds of early acid house and the kick start of a new genre of dance music. Inspired by the late Frankie Knuckles and Eric Kupper, led to Scott’s love of deep bass sounds. Slam and Soma Records has also played a part in Scott’s influences which marked a turning point for him.

Since 2001 Scott Haggarty has been producing electronic music using a variety of digital recording software and virtual instruments. Passionate about his productions, Scott spends endless hours in the studio producing and remixing. He is also currently a student at the Soma Records Soma Skoo’l in the award winning Shoogle Studios in Glasgow, Scotland. Tutored by the Soma artist Petrichor, he is studying the finer points of using Ableton Liveand DAW systems to help him adopt a new outlook in his live recordings.
