Eleonora Artist Bio

There are at least 2 artists/bands with the name Eleonora:

1. Eleonora was a post-hardcore/metalcore band from Hollister/San Jose, California, United States.

Seeking refuge from a stagnant music scene in Northern California, Eleonora emerged, creating what can best be described as, hard-hitting, Driving, Dirty- Chaotic metal, that the kids in today’s music scene could appreciate.
As a group of dedicated young visionaries, the band has independently booked all their upcoming shows, and tours…

Eleonora came into the music scene, early February of 2008, and immediately began “doing work”; Writing, playing shows, and preparing for their first ever full length became the bands mission.

Now, at the beginning of 2009, Eleonora is armed and ready to fire, having all new material and a whole new set list that will leave their fans wanting more.

These new, heavy hitting songs are exactly the sound that this six piece quintet known as, Eleonora was aiming for.

They released their self-titled album in 2009 on Rain City Records.

2. Born in Italy but currently living in London, Eleonora is an eclectic selector who enjoys being involved in many different aspects of the music/media business, and even features as a character in a comic strip. From DJing to setting up her own label, Stilnovo Music, and promotions company, AheadPR, Eleonora balances her activities for optimum output whilst travelling around the world to spread the musical word.

Eleonora first made her mark in 2006 with the release of the compilation “Underground Soul” on Expansion Records. The CD was very well received worldwide, with good reviews and dj support. Today, be it house, techno or experimental electronica, she has DJ’d at a wide range of venues such as Pacha, Jazz Café, Turnmills, Penthouse and Fabric, where she was hand picked to perform by (and alongside) US jock King Britt. Then there have been the exclusive VIP functions, where Eleonora has had the pleasure of spinning to top officials and celebrities alike, sharing the decks with artists like Vikter Duplaix, The Jinks, Lisa Pin Up and Francesco Farfa.

Outside the UK, she has touched base in Ireland, Spain, Malta, Bulgaria, United States (Miami WMC), and of course in her native Italy, where she is part of the Soundzrise crew on the nation’s number one dance network, Radio M2o. Eleonora also hosts her own radio show “Stilnovo Sessions” on the popular London-Tokyo radio station Samurai FM. Her mixes can also be heard of several stations across the globe, such as Fashion FM, IbizaGlobalRadio, SSRadio and more.

Press coverage has also been generous, with features on Esquire, Pioneer DJ Sounds, Blues & Soul, Echoes, Time Out, Mami, as well as various website and online magazines across the pond. Eleonora is also going to make an appearance on Des Taylor’s comic book “The Trouble with Katie Rogers”, to be released soon in the United States.

The focus is now on the newly launched record label Stilnovo Music, for which Eleonora has already started working with artists like Rogiers, Sun Singleton, Opolopo, and Atjazz. Read more on Last.fm.
