Elska Artist Bio

2005-2007
Formerly known as “Soranami” (Japanese for sky waves), Elska is a post-rock, post-hardcore, experimental band from Hartford, WI.

Taking in influences ranging from Explosions In The Sky, dredg, Mono, Sigur Rós, to Norma Jean, The Chariot, As I Lay Dying and others, Elska is an incredibly open band, trying anything at least once, and what they don’t like, the listener will never hear.

Started by four high schoolers, Ben Wagner, Chris Fritche, Danny Nick, and Eric Borden, the band has existed since the fall of 2005. Since it’s birth, Elska has changed styles various times, starting out primarily as a hardcore/metal band, then expanding out into their current sound.

Elska has recently put out a demo entitled To Breathe the Vows That Lovers Used To Swear.
