Folic State, a producer and Dj from Mumbai is regarded as one of Indian dance worlds most venerated lurkers. An Illustrious producer, his music explores the tension between light and dark, formulating expansive soundscapes among warm, driving percussion. He has played a vital role in shaping the minimal, psy techno scene in India. The enigmatic producer has been holed up in the outskirts of the great Indian metropolis consistently producing top dance tracks for the last few years, which has won him a strong fan base both, locally and globally. Folic State’s music is often played out at iconic festivals like Boom, Modem, Ozora, Son Libre and many more. His debut EP Vulgar Story in 2014, laid the foundation for a series of successful releases on renowned labels that have hit the charts. Be it his Dj sets or productions, Folic State weaves a story of sound; decidedly buoyant through its moments of clarity, pensive and introspective when concealed.
