ILO Artist Bio

There are two artists currently known that use “ilo” as a name:
1. An Icelandic producer
2. A solo visual kei project

1. Ólafur Breiðfjörd, aka ILO. is one of the more unique producers coming from Iceland past 20 years. In 2011 he became a widely known name on dancefloors around the world with his edit of New Musik’s classic ‘Warp’ and more recently with the 2017 hit ‘Everybody’ on OOFT!’s label Foto Recordings. ILO has a great catalogue of releases on labels such as Rebirth, S-Hit Records and Thule’s legendary offshoot 66 Degrees Records dating back to 2001. He’s also been a much sought-after remixer through the years. ILO has made remixes for some of Iceland’s widely known artists, for example, Sigur Rós, múm and GusGus. Having him finally in the Lagaffe family is a great honour.

2. Tsuyoshi Himura (緋村 剛) {ex.everset} formed a solo visual kei project under the name “ilo” on the 10th of September, 2023. The support band consists of gu. MORI, gu. Kenji Kondou (近藤 健次), bs. Nanahoshi (七星) and dr. Teruki (輝喜). ilo had his first Oneman Live at Ebisu SHUFFLE on the 23rd of November, 2023 and has hinted at musical projects being released throughout 2024.
