Jesse Perez has been making quite a name for himself in dance music circles, garnering remix support from the likes of Saeed Younan, Jeff Bennet & Ariel Baund. His Behold Recordings, which he runs alongside production partner Ariel G, has been making waves for its quality releases. His first production appeared on O Recordings, followed by a string of releases on his own imprint. These were charted by major players worldwide and are still in the boxes of some the world’s top dj’s. 2006 marks the beginning of a new movement of upcoming DJs and Producers. At age 22 Jesse Perez a Miami native is producing more than ever, gradually putting his name up in the music industry and gaining international recognition with tracks like Dance Tonight, Conscious, and The Gorillaz “Feel good Inc Remix” just to name a few. Jesse’s mother already having a musical background as a pianist, was his biggest inspiration to pursue a musical career. Learning everything from classical to jazz. It wasn’t till about the age of 16 that a friend introduced him to the art of Djing and a pc program called “Acid” , which helped him develop the sound he has now. Also, going by the alias “Jesse James” he intends to crossover in just about every genre of music such as hip hop, reggae, and rock. So what does the future have in store for Jesse?
