Julian Perez Artist Bio

Julian Pérez, was born in Colombia and from a very young age was involved in music and singing. His childhood and teenage were surrounded by being part of choirs and the worship ministry where he attended as an active member of the church.

In 2002 he moved to the United States where a new season in his life changed personally and professionally. He has been involved in the Christian Music industry since 2006 when he ventured as a Graphic Designer for several artists which gave him the opportunity to also work with them musically. His music performance was seen as background voices in Christian events and television programs for Julissa, Lilly Goodman, Amalfi Blanco, Christine D’Clario, Benjamin Rivera among others. In 2010 he moved to Bethlehem, Pennsylvania to be part of the creative department and also part of the worship team at El Shaddai Bethlehem Ministries. In 2011 he was awarded a Premios Arpa as a Graphic Designer in the “Best Cover Design” category. In 2012 he was part of the live recording of the worship band Adoración Gobernante / Governing Worship with the song “Escóndeme En Tu Luz”. In 2013, with that same production, the worship band was awarded on the Premios Arpa as “Best Group of The Year”. In that same year, he made his debut as a soloist, releasing his first single “Creado Para Amarte” as well as his debut in the English music industry with his English version “Destined To Love You”

In 2015 he moved to Dallas, Texas to begin a new chapter in his life in the design and music industry.

In 2018 he enters into conversations with the renowned producer Mike Rivera, who since his inception has been his right-hand man and his mentor as an artist to talk about his future as a Christian artist and that is where “Mientras Tanto” was born, an adaptation to Spanish of the English version “While I Wait” by Lincoln Brewster; his new single after 6 years of absence in the music scene.
