Kaltehand Artist Bio
Davide Rizzitelli and Natasha Waters have spent the last
five years experimenting extensively with melodies,
redefining their idea of music and working on their live
shows, the staging of their music having long been their
main focus. As a result, the duo has found itself on
stage at many clubs and festivals. Travelling from west
to east and appearing on line-ups at the D-Club in
Lausanne, Zukunft in Zurich and the Palace venue in St.
Gallen, they have managed to establish a small yet solid
fanbase.
At first listen, one can be deluded by the mood of the
album which seems to be drenched in a forlorn and
bleak ambience. However, the melodies are punctuated
with surprisingly uplifting elements and therefore give
themselves into a gripping interplay between
melancholy and a spirit of optimism. Pages deliberately
exceeds the limits of electropop – influences are diverse,
with among others elements of folk music, world music
and dubstep being weaved seamlessly together.
Kaltehand & Natasha Waters have created their own
unique sound: at times broken, at times danceable but
always held together by a detailed and complex ambient
soundscape; another side of electropop. Read more on Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
