Komon Artist Bio

Komon is the solo project of Swedish born Antonia Pehrson, who has made music under that name since 2001 following the purchase of a GEM Wizard electric organ. The music is electronic, vocal and emotional.

In 2001, the music was inspired by organ based bands but after becoming increasingly interested in c86, twee and indie pop music, the purchase of an electric guitar and a cheap effect pedal created the guitar sound appearing on most of Komons songs. Pehrsons growing knowledge in programming computer based music has enabled her to produce more intricate beats than the first recordings where she used standard Casio drum pattern. Though she still goes back and sample the Casio sounds on the recordings from 2007.

2006: This Is Love, various artists on a CD-r release with cover of the classic Haddaway dance hit What is Love. 1 track out of 11 in total. Other featured artists, Bare Knees, Don Agbai, Otur, Mexicos and some others. Released by Dig Your Own Grave-Records.
2007: Punk EP, 3 Inch CD with 3 tracks, 100 copies, Cloudberry Records Tracks: I Made New Friends, A Good Start, Canadian Punkerboy.
2008: Punk EP +, CD-r with 4 tracks, 50 copies, Pay Your Own Funeral-Records. Tracks: I Made New Friends, A Good Start, Canadian Punkerboy, What Happened to The Punk?
