Lizwi Artist Bio

Nokuphiwa Mbatha popularly known as Lizwi Mbatha is a Durban based artist and fast becoming a South African Afro Tribal flag bearer in the global market. Her music is an Afro Tribal fusion of dance music and African Acoustics inspired by her unique and Zulu Ancestral background. Lizwi’s passion echoes with the strums of each string she pulls in studio and on stage when performing live. Lizwi’s passion & inspiration for music came from listening to the likes of Busi Mhlongo. Self-expression through music reveals her inner self and boldness when performing live on stage. Early 2017 Kususa remixed Traveller by Lizwi and Demajor which went to feature on Defected Records Ibiza 2018 VA Mixed by Sam Devine.
