Scottish songbird Lizzie Nightingale is preparing to take her place as one of the UKs most talented
new artists with her highly anticipated debut single ‘Left Right Left’. Hailing from Glasgow, Scotland,
Lizzie spent her early years doused in Bowie, The Beatles and Queen as well as a few Motown classics
courtesy of her mother who was a singer and performer. Harmonies came easily and after mastering clarinet
and everything major to minor in between, the music bug took control.

Lizzie Nightingale, knowing what she wanted to do, released a compilation or two in a bid to be
heard. She gained immediate support from Radio 1, Radio 2 and Galaxy FM and sold units in
the thousands in the UK and Japan. The success of the EP led to a Maida Vale session for BBC Radio 1.
‘Left Right Left’ is the result of Lizzie finding her own individual sound. After signing to 25 Hour Convenience,
an indie label backed by Gary Powell of The Libertines fame, this timid yet vivacious Scottish girl is gearing up to showcase her raw and real talent.

‘Left Right Left’ is a tribute to anyone who has had to sacrifice in life. “I actually penned the song as
a metaphor to what I’ve been through in music so far” explains Lizzie. “I then realised it could
relate to people on all levels in relation to struggle and loss as well as the mantra of never giving
up. We all have a story”.

The video for the single was shot in Canada and has a short film feel to it. “The most important thing
for me is that my songs tell stories that listeners can imagine themselves in. Aside from the
political undertone of ‘Left Right Left’ I’m trying to convey that anything is possible if you believe
it.” 2010 is set to be a big year for Lizzie, her unique sound and unwavering ambition makes her a very
