Luis Hill Artist Bio

Born and raised in Berlin, Luis explored many different musical styles, starting with Hip Hop, when he began hosting internet radio shows at the age of 12. Over the next 3 years, he discovered the wonders of four-to-the-floor electronic music, with which he ultimately fell in love.

At the age of 16, he started playing for larger crowds, and later emerged into the Berlin club scene. There, he made a name for himself as a young artist, having played at clubs like Ritter Butzke, Maria, Golden Gate and Arena Club.

In 2010, he moved to Rotterdam. Within a few months, he found himself behind the decks of Club Catwalk, Bootleg DJ-Café, and had started his own party series, Rotterlin: a combination of underground electronic music from Rotterdam and Berlin. During 2011 his gigs spread across Europe to France, Italy, Germany and the Netherlands.

In 2012, he got together with Marc Poppcke to work on Marc’s newly founded label Crossfrontier Audio. Aside from various label management activities, the label also allowed him to musically unfold, which led to two his first EP together with Marc Poppcke (CFA007) and his first solo remix (CFA010). With a growing number of gigs, he could also add Spain, Romania and Switzerland to his list countries where he played.

His music is driven by deep sounds and groovy bass lines. Whether it’s the peak-time, warmup or in the early hours of the morning, his style adapts to what the people are feeling – and it keeps them going. Luis Hill plays the music he loves and you will see him enjoy the rhythm just as much as the people on the dance floor. Read more on Last.fm.
