Lukas Lehmann Artist Bio

Earlier than must have been to his parents’s liking, Lukas Lehmann recognized that music was his absolute passion, and was already forming his first bands at the age of six. Their world tours fell through, however, when his close-minded teachers refused to excuse him from primary school. After expanding his hodgepodge stylistic repetoire from reggae influenced by Michael Jackson to rock with trumpet solos, he began working on his hip-hop career with the acquisition of his first production equipment. Together with the TGB legend Krizzer, Lukas produced his own tracks under the pseudonym “Kernfusion”.

His internship at the Berlin music magazine Groove gave him the opportunity to become familiar with the unique sounds of electronic music. Fired up by a new-found enthusiasm, the passionate record collector submerged himself in this new world, mistreating his speakers with heavy basslines and whirring, grinding sounds. Lukas has also spun deep- and tech-house in clubs like MS Connexion (Mannheim), Tanzhaus West (Frankfurt), Centralstation (Darmstadt) and the radio station Radio-X.

He is currently putting together a demo of tunes, whose roots lie in sixteen years of piano lessons and a soft spot for Funk & Soul, extravagant rythmic constructions, and an eternally youthful enthusiasm for crazy off-the-hook synthie sounds. In addition, numerous collaborations are in the works, including projects with one of Frankfurt’s up and coming artists Ludwig Coenen and Darmstadt-based Ian Oliver.
