1) Makai is a songwriter from the purple and pink desert of Santa Fe New Mexico. Growing up around such a beautiful landscape she has a passion for writing about the importance of nature conservation in her music. MAKAI’s dream is to paint a sonic universe that depicts and draws the listener into her life experiences of love, simple pleasures, and the questions she has about the world around her. The goal of her new Ep (Real or Fake) ,co produced with Tyler Wright, was to write catchy Indie pop songs that follow a stream of consciousness . She is inspired by a mix of electronic and acoustic songwriters from Sylvan Esso, Tracy Chapman, Mitski, and Bon Iver. Thank you for listening !

2) Makai is a german Drum & Bass act consisting of Jan Hennig and Frank Marheineke. When talking about German Drum&Bass from the nineties, it is almost impossible not to mention the name Makai. Within a short period of time, this production outfit hailing from a small town called Hanau took the local scene by storm, and managed to convert tastemakers from the motherland of Jungle to their minimalist and hard-as-nails sound.

3) Makai is a japanese DJ/Composer. He started DJing in the latter half of the 90’s.

4) Makai is a grindcore band from Toulouse, France, featuring members of Vomi Noir, Blue Holocaust, Pulmonary Fibrosis, and Cop Porn, among others. They released their first demo in October 2024.
