Metawav. Artist Bio

Metawav. is a abstract house duo out of Detroit, Michigan that started spring 2020. The
group consists of Colin Guffey and Shane Parks.

In spring of 2020, during the Covid-19 pandemic, Colin and Shane developed a musical
friendship and decided to start collaborating in what became Metawav.
Colin has roots in the punk/hardcore scene from past bands such as Take Notice (I
Surrender Records) and Wolfshark. Though Colin was professionally involved in that
scene, he was always writing and recording electronic music.

Shane started releasing techno music under the artist name Suga Shane (Behavior
Records) March 2019. He has then released countless singles and a few ep’s. When
Colin and Shane started writing during Covid-19, they realized that they were on the
