Metaxas Artist Bio

Metaxas is a once-in-a-generation talent who will permanently carve his folk & indie infused songs in to your psyche.

Born in New York to Cypriot parents, Metaxas is the eldest of four children. At the very young age of 3, Metaxas showcased a love for singing along to his dad’s favorite records. After spending most of his younger years with his family living in Cyprus, he moved to America at the age of 21 to hone his craft.

Metaxas’ determination and love of music culminated at Berklee College of Music in Boston, where he studied Music Production and Engineering. It was there where his artistry reached its true potential. Metaxas now resides in London.

With musical influences like Jeff Buckley, John Mayer and Gotye, it is no surprise that Metaxas has mastered a writing style that is honest, sensitive and encompassing. Mixing his raw expressive lyrics with his gravelled, yet warm voice, Metaxas produces a magical union that is nothing short of captivating. Read more on Last.fm.
