Najem Sworb Artist Bio

When in 2003 he moved to the border between France and Germany, Najem Sworb not only had got nearer to some of his mainly inspirational artists, but by the meantime, he made a step forward in his musical projects.

Being a Dj since the mid nineties, he managed in 2007 to release some of his own music on RUR, a rare and mysterious offshoot label of Ai records, which signed him on a few months later for another release: Hydrocarbon Ep.

This record got support from dj’s like Secret Cinema, Dominik Eulberg, Serge, Jack de Marseille, M50(Area)… It was reviewed on various blogs and magazines (Djmag, Textura) and was played on Mary-Anne Hobbs’ BBC1 experimental radio show.

Another six months later, in 2008, he released two tracks on Ai’s last various artists, and Teranidian(from Hydrocarbon Ep) was featured on a Various Artists cd compilation(Ai023cd).

Early interested in music from classical to rock, wave, pop and hip hop, since he started being a dj in 1996, he has always been on seeking deep and innovative music.
