1. American Band :
Ted Atkatz’s departure from the Chicago Symphony in 2006 to pursue NYCO raised a few eyebrows. Dan Wakin’s article in the New York Times in February of ’07 chronicled Ted’s move to make NYCO his main profession. Since then, the band has toured the midwest and both coasts, as well as participating in the 2007 St. Barts Music Festival, 2011 South by Southwest, and Ted performed as a guest artist at the 2013 Coachella Music Festival.

NYCO has released three full length albums: Two (2005), Realize (2008) and Future Imperfect (2012). The soulful “English Song” has already garnered significant attention, and has even been dubbed a pop classic by WXRT DJ Richard Milne. NYCO’s “Let Me In” was featured in Volkswagen Motor’s 2007 Auto Show Podcast. NYCO’s music was featured in MTV’s “Cribs” in 2010.

Onstage, Atkatz is joined by Leo Budirihardjo, Seth Murphy, and Hubie Wang, and is now based in Los Angeles, California
