Pinto Artist Bio

Frontman Andreas of Swedish band Pinto describes his sound as “Abba crossed with Nick Drake”. He then declares that that is really Evan Dando, not him. Nevertheless he has been garnering praise for sensitive indiepop that shares some traits with other recent Scandinavian acts (such as Loney, Dear and The Lovekevins); a querky and quizzical lyrical style, ingenious mixture of acoustic instruments and bleepy synths and a genuine grasp of melody (a much neglected component of really good pop).
