Primrose Artist Bio

1. PRIMROSE (프림로즈) is a South Korean girl group under AO Entertainment. The group debuted with members Ruby (루비) and Yeum (예음) on January 13th, 2023 with the EP “RED MOON” . Yeum left the group on March 23rd, 2023, due to health reasons. On May 3, 2023, former HOT ISSUE member, NaHyun (나현), was added to PRIMROSE. On May 16, 2023, former BugAboo member, Rainie (레이니), was added to the group. On June 22, 2023, AO Entertainment, had announced that PRIMROSE has completed their line up with their newest member, HaYun (하윤). On July 26th, 2023, AO Entertainment announced the group would release the EP, “Laffy Taffy”, on August 18th, 2023. It would mark as Ruby’s first comeback under PRIMROSE, NaHyun and Rainie’s official re-debuts, and HaYun’s debut into the K-pop industry.

2. Primrose was a young Japanese rock band that was active from 2002 to 2004. The band consisted of four members, 龍詩 (Ryuuji) on vocals, 夢人 (Yumehito) on guitar, 龍緋 (Tatsuhi) on bass, and Yuya on drums, though for a while, they played with a guitarist named UZ.
Members Yumehito and Yuya had been friends since a young age, and in 1998, the two started playing music together in a school band. Years later, in 2000, Yumehito met Tatsuhi, and in 2001, he met Ryuuji. The four became friends, and in 2002, they formed their first real band, Primrose. Primrose played their first live on June 6th, and were active until the summer of 2003. In December, they started up activities again, and kept playing gigs until April of 2004, when they changed their name to そろばん(Soroban).
Primrose released their first and only single, 沁月-闇-, on November 15th, 2002. The single was sold for 600¥, and was only available at lives or through mail order.
