Rocca Artist Bio

There are at least three Roccas on Last: 1) a French rapper 2) a Finnish DJ 3) a Swedish electronica band.

1) Bilingual French hardcore rapper with Colombian roots. He is a member of the group La Cliqua from Paris. His first album was a hardcore rap album with some bilingual rhymes. On “Elevación”, Rocca worked with producers Armeni Blanco and Lenny Barr as well as Chaze and Gallegos, including real classical instruments and Latin flavours on some tracks. On “Amour suprême”, he returned to more classical forms of hip hop. Rocca also founded a group called Tres Coronas in Queens, New York, composed entirely of diasporic Colombians.

2) A Finnish Hard House/Hard Dance DJ

3) A Techno, Italo band based in Stockholm, Sweden. Their MySpace page cites the band as consisting of Rocca 1 and Rocca 2, as well as influences ranging from Timbaland to Elastica.
