ROTH is a Swedish pop-duo composed of Julia and Gustav whose vocal harmonies take influences from all sorts of music from Feist to Queen. Hailing from Midsommarkransen , a southern suburb of Stockholm, Sweden, the duo are determined to produce and record more music with their rock- and popinfluences.

Roth Ritter began writing music in the early 1990’s that reflected a passion for the kind of music he was listening to in his college years. With influences early in his music career like Front Line Assembly, Clan of Xymox, and Depeche Mode, the genre referred to today as “Electronica” or “Ambient” may not be quite what you would expect to hear from such an artist. Over the years an evolution of sound with a musical nod to all things space became the catalyst that brought forth Roth’s new passion which premiered as the debut album Umbra in 2009. Combining the early influences with the master stylings of Vangelis and Tangerine Dream was an intriguing avenue he was compelled to explore. That idea bundled together with an interest in astronomy was the perfect formula to ignite a new creative front and carry his musical evolution to the next phase. With a love for all electronic music, his new direction draws from influences of an extremely varied field that embodies a full spectrum of spacial soundscapes while staying true to his own identity.
