Satour Artist Bio

Satur de la Lastra, A.K.A. Satour born 1977, hails from Salamanca in Spain. It was there that he started to get into electronic music, thanks to such legendary clubs as Maria Sangrienta, Submarino, Tzu or La Mina, all home to Salamanca. At the same time, he doubled up playing the guitar in the band”Fan-zyne”, and collaborated with other groups.

In the year 2000, he moved on to Vitoria where he started to shape “Groove Tour”, which was to be the first nationwide tour for house music in Spain. Its aim was to encourage unrecognised Dj’s to come forward, by giving them the opportunity to perform in different venues.

The following two years found him organizing many events in Valladolid, Vitoria, Segovia, Salamanca, Santander, Pamplona, with Dj’s such as Viktor Flores, Garcynoise, Pablo Bolivar, Chile and Ismael (collective Cogela), Jazzdeep and Xavier Izar amongst many others. He also got hold of different sponsorship deals from Technics, Decoder Mizq, and Guia Pura…

In 2002, he moved to Santander where he started his career behind a Technics mixing table, strongly influenced by the black sounds of the 70 he starts playing House, while he gets in the electronic music his style is defined up to the current one, a suitcase loaded with rhythm, with one very serious musical offer. He looks the heat in the coldest electronic sounds. Direct to the hip!

All that has led him to sharing booths with Dj’s like Jimpster, Alton Miller, Tres Manos, Pablo Bolivar, Garcynoise, Jacobo Sanchez, JAD, Angel de Castro, DJVoo and being resident Dj for clubs of the North. Mixing on clubs like, Caos (Bilbao) Sol ( Salamanca ) Heaven ( Santander ) Terrazza ( Badajoz ) and play in Barcelona in dates of Sonar in the Terrazza and La Macarena.

In 2003, he began to set up his own studio An-Atic and started to create his own productions. In his productions, tries to look for the groove and the feeling, looking always for hot sounds, offers with a very elegant sound that they have led him to re-mixing to artists like GarcyNoise and editing music on labels Like Anonima Records ( Portugal ) Total Wipes ( Italy ) and Justified Cause.

In 2006 with his partners Nando Muro and J. Cortes starting to set up is own Label, Dubhe Recordings. That already has seen the light with his first reference by Dubbyman.
