Sinecure Artist Bio

Sinecure is the name of two different musical projects.

One is a dance rock band based in Plattsburgh, NY. Founded in 2007 in Malone, NY, the band is anchored by band mates, and brothers, Jordan Buck (guitar/ vocals) and Justin Buck (bass /vocals). After relocating to Plattsburgh the band added drummer Jack Brand (drums/samples/ vocals), and recently rounded out the line up by adding Shameless Strangers founder Mike Dashnaw (guitar). Combining gritty rock and roll with a dance/pop inspired edge, Sinecure evokes raw emotion, leaving a lasting impression in both the mind and the ear. They regularly play at the Plattsburgh venue known as The Monopole.

In 2012, Sinecure released an album of studio recordings titled Flat, and an album of live performances played at The Monopole.

The second was a recording-by-mail project undertaken by Don Campau and Michael J Bowman (aka Velveeta Heartbreak) in 2002. They released the results as the CD “Sinecure” in 2002.
