Marco Fabiani aka SPOONKAT

Born in 1986 in Italy, and since 2003 has been dedicated to musical entertainment in clubs and discos in Rome and elsewhere…

In 2004 he attended the FIDJAS (Italian Federation of Disc Jockey, Animators & Speaker) course in mixing techniques in Rome.

In 2006, Marco took a professional training course for the study of software and creation of Live Set using Ableton Live 5 & 6. He also learned techniques of music production with the current DJ PRODUCER used at the “Re-Mix Store ” in Rome.

By the end of 2007 he entered the European Institute of Design for specialization in SOUND DESIGN.
In his free time, Marco performs with a varied sound collection: from funk to techno, through electrohouse and minimal; the artists who most influence his style include: Adam Beyer, Booka Shade, Troy Pierce, Marco Carola, Oxia, Ellen Allien, Paul Kalkbrenner, Len Faki, Justice and Daft Punk.

In his most recent sets, he is using FINAL SCRATCH, an increasingly used new technology in the art of djing as well as using a KORG ELECTRIBE. His promos “UNDERWATER” and “MONOCROMO” are the result of his insatiable dedication to perfecting his skills, experimenting and his great passion for ELECTRONIC MUSIC.

2008 marks Spoonkat’s evolution for the experimental envelope and it is no coincidence that his productions were selected and included in the final for the PLAY THE MUSIC Contest sponsored by INTERNATIONAL TALENT, May & June 1, 2008 at the exclusive Old River Park — Caserta.
