Dj Timmy Stewart – Biog

Belfast Dj Timmy Stewart is also one half of production teams The Jet Project and Bubba and T-Bone, currently recording for labels including Darkroom Dubs, Utensil and Mode Music. He has been spinning now for over 10 years and in that time has held residencies at David Holmes’s Shake Ya Brain and Tora Tora Tora as well as his own Digital Boogie and Tsunami events and is currently resident dj at Belfast’s Stiff Kitten club.

As part of production outfits the New Alumininsts, Eastside Movement and Future Rhythm Foundation he recorded well over 50 tracks for labels such as Paperecordings, Siesta Music & Product Deluxe and performed remix duties for artists including David Holmes & Swayzak. Timmy also organises the releases and records tracks for his own digital labels, Islandhopper and ISHO and in 07 started released a host of solo material under his own name, picking up support from djs including Francois K, Slam, Laurent Garnier, Funk D’Void and Andrew Weatherall.

In dj sets, his sound is pitched between house and techno and he is one of the only Irish djs to have played main room slots in Irish clubs Shine, Lush and at the Oxygen and Electric Picnic music festivals. He has played guest sets in clubs including Otto Zutz in Barcelona, Café d’Anvers in Antwerp, Scuba in Sheffield, The Arches in Glasgow, and in the past has supported artists as diverse as Giles Petterson, Alex Under, Swag and Basement Jaxx live.
