Zade Cross Artist Bio

If there ever was a crash course in “How To Work The Crowd Into A Frenzy When Djing”, then you can bet the man behind it will be none other than Zade Cross.

The 22 year old Leeds Dj plays with a distinctive style that ranges from minimal techno, through to electro house, always being careful to lean towards the dark and glowering framework of house that he represents.

His influences take the shape of legends such as Lee Burridge, Alex Smoke & Oliver Huntemann…it’s fair to say that it’s the minimal, dark & messy tech-house stuff that usually finds its way into Zade Cross’s bag of tricks.

Its crystal clear to see why he’s been booked to play at some of Leeds’ best nights…Zade plays with an intelligent twist and regulates the dancefloor from start to finish with his infectious array of tunes.

Having recently had 2 of his tracks signed to Ob5e55ion Records, Zade’s skills in production seem to have rubbed off in the studio. Using Reason 4 and Cubase, Zade’s own productions are a glitchy 4am mind bogglers

“Dont have a clue” is a killer track – full of staggered glitches and a relentless bass…straight down the line and no-nonsense quirky minimal house.

Zade is currently making waves as the new KOMPIS resident, playing in Northampton and Birmingham with the labels own night, bringing a much needed slice of minimal to the Midlands. The Kompis residency is something Zade is really excited about and getting involved in the Kompis concept is right up his street.

With regular gigs in Leeds, York, Birmingham and Sheffield set 2008, Zade is excited about the future. Hosting radio slots on transmissionfm.com every tuesday and gigs all over the country, Zade’s new year looks far from static.
