Zod Artist Bio

1) Genre: Alternative Rock (Math Rock)
Hometown: Oakland, California

Innocently enough, zod formed in 1998. he soon grew to such strength and power that the small town of san luis obispo could no longer contain him – he moved to oakland ca. where such an awesome being might thrive amongst the other great machines. his powerful combination of drums and bass has confounded many, but enlightened many, many more. zod was created by mario amanzio (d) and casey philbin (b), but no man may control him.

2) Z.O.D. (Zittesje OnDeug) is a dutch tributeband to S.O.D. (Stormtroopers Of Death). Started back in 1996 and their very first show was on january 1st 1997. There even was a second show in 1997 and a third in 1998. But Z.O.D. was meant to be a one show project and so it came to an end and all members continued their own bandactivities. In 2006 the feeling came back and we started with some new members. The nightmare finally continues…

3) ZOD is a Hip-Hop artist and producer out of Flint, MI now residing in Atlanta, GA. ZOD moved to the A to further pursue his music career. ZOD had a decent amount of success in the Flint and Metro Detroit area releasing numerous projects under ZOD da GOD. Aside from rapping and producing ZOD is always learning and improving upon skills that can be applied towards his music career. He is a very skilled graphic designer, took audio engineering classes and is definitely what you would call a student of the game. ZOD has created several websites and other successful business ventures. Artists have come to him for a guest verse, a beat and artwork all at the same time. ZOD has decided to streamline his focus and concentrate more on his music career. After the music gets to where he wants it he says the other projects will be revisited.

Listening to ZOD’s music you can be sure to hear witty wordplay and the passion he has for the music. ZOD’s sound is like a hybrid of different styles making him a very gifted and versatile artist. He grew up listening to and being influenced by all types of music. Whether it be the lyricism and grittiness from the East, The Flow and Musicianship from some of the West Coast Sounds to the bounce and hard hitting music from the South. ZOD is also a fan of 70s R&B soul music.
